Strong Beginnings is a free preschool program for three-year-old children. It is also a research project to study if two years of high-quality preschool helps some children to be more successful in kindergarten. There is a family liaison who can support you in reaching your goals for you and your family. How much you work with them is up to you.
This is a pilot project and spots are limited:
- Children must have turned three by September 1 and they may be able to enter "early" if they turned three by December 1.
- Families must meet income requirements.
You must submit an application. Only those with the greatest need are admitted. It is not a first come, first served program.
