What do we do?
Since 1991, some of the area's highest-potential high school students have attended Berrien RESA Mathematics and Science Center for challenge and inspiration in mathematics, science, and technology. Up to 30 students per grade in grades 9-12 travel to the campus of Andrews University in Berrien Springs for half of each school day to take accelerated mathematics, science, and technology classes. Students receive high school and optional college credit for these courses, taught by Andrews University faculty.
The Center, along with the Berrien RESA Curriculum/Instruction, Instructional Technology, and Professional Development departments, provide professional and student opportunities in mathematics, science and technology. The Center provides services to local school districts in the areas of professional development, curriculum support, student services, leadership, community involvement, and resource materials.

The Center is also a member of the National Consortium of Secondary STEM Schools (NCSSS). The Berrien RESA Mathematics and Science Center's service area includes schools in Berrien and Cass counties.
