Continuous Improvement - MICIP

Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP)

The Michigan Department of Education has transitioned to a new school improvement process known as the Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP).

MICIP is a combination of three separate components: A shift in mindset, process, and platform with considerations for equity and the whole child.

With MICIP, districts will shift mindsets to focus on the needs of the whole child, and equity. Teams will engage in a process of regular, ongoing efforts to implement, monitor and evaluate continuous improvement plans. The MICIP platform will capture the process, with pre-populated data, embedded root cause analysis tools, and strategies from the MiStrategy Bank.

Please refer to the MDE MICIP resources page for additional information.
