Home Visiting Programs in Berrien County
The goal of home visiting is to make sure moms have a healthy pregnancy and parents are supported to help their children grow and develop in a safe and engaging environment.
Berrien County provides free home visiting services and other resources for expecting mothers and families with children from birth through age 3.

Early Head Start
A federally-funded program for low income families, it provides learning and development services for children ages 0 to 3 and pregnant women.
Early Head Start provides nutritional support, health and mental health services, and connects families to community resources. They offer group socialization activities and weekly visits.

Early On
Michigan's early intervention system for helping infants and toddlers, birth to 3 years of age who have a disability, developmental delay(s), or are at risk for delay(s) due to certain health conditions.
It's designed to help families find the social, health, and educational services that will promote the development of their infants and toddlers with special needs.

Nurse-Family Partnership
A free health program for first-time moms who are eligible for WIC or Medicaid and live in Berrien County. Women who are having their first baby can enroll in the program and have a registered nurse visit with them in their home during pregnancy through their child’s second birthday.
Parents as Teachers
A free early childhood development program for families expecting through age 3.
Because the first 3 years of a child's life are the MOST important this program partners with parents to make sure children are ready for school and life. It's free, and provides information, support and encouragement specifically for you and your family's needs.
