Our Transportation, Distribution & Logistics courses include career preparation in areas such as automotive and aviation.
Students in automotive courses will explore opportunities and the requirements of a professional service technician. Content emphasizes beginning transportation service skills and workplace success skills. Students study safety, tools, equipment, shop operations, and the fundamentals of operation, maintenance, and basic repair procedures for automotive engine mechanical systems, heater and air conditioning systems, and drive train systems. Classroom and shop activities simulate the automotive service industry operations.
Our Aviation course will provide an overview of the science of flight. Students will be able to explain the physics of flight and how aircraft are used to move people and materials, how airports function and the role they play in the transportation industry. Students will practice flight and navigation skills in simulation.
