Non Traditional Activities

In addition to traditional workshops, seminars, trainings, and conferences, Berrien RESA will submit applications for the following non-traditional professional development activities eligible for SCECH credit.

Twenty-five SCECHs per semester can be earned for the following activities.

Supervision of a:

  • Student Teacher/Teacher Intern
  • School Counselor Internship
  • School Psychologist Required Practicum/Internship

Mentoring a:

  • New Teacher
  • School Counselor
  • School Psychologist

Twenty-Five SCECHs for the entire school year can be earned for serving on a PA 25 School Improvement Team.

A maximum of 75 SCECHs earned in each activity in a five-year renewal period can be used toward certificate renewal.

All appropriate verification forms, required paperwork and criteria are sent to each District’s:
  1. Superintendent
  2. Building Principal
