The Michigan Department of Education is replacing the previous School Improvement Framework with a new process known as Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process (MICIP). The three-year roll out plan includes a shift in Mindset, Process, and Platform working toward more integrated systems and a greater focus on meeting the needs of the Whole Child. 

Meet our School Improvement Facilitator

Amanda joined the BRESA team in 2018. She brings with her many years of experience as a teacher, coach, adviser, department chair and mentor for pre-service teachers. Prior to this role, Amanda served Berrien RESA as the Academic Instructional Specialist for Benton Harbor Area Schools. Previously, Ms. Lezotte taught at Brandywine Jr./Sr. High for twelve years. She earned earned an MA in Ed. Leadership from GVSU in 2013 and a BS in Teaching from CMU in 2005. She holds her Michigan Administrator License and Michigan Professional Teaching Certificate. Amanda is passionate about serving diverse populations and supporting social-emotional learning and youth mental health initiatives. Ms. Lezotte is committed to helping local district and building leadership teams research, implement, and evaluate quality systems to foster outcomes which support the well-being of the whole child.
