D4 CLASSROOM
Teacher Noah Cooperider and Paraprofessionals Helen McCoy and Vasti Marques
D4
is a Severely Multiply Impaired classroom with teen-adult students.
Many of the students are unable to talk or access things around them. In
room D4 students learn to use adaptive devices like switches to
accomplish tasks on their own. By pushing, touching, or just moving to
activate switches they are able to talk, perform work tasks, run
programs on the computer, turn on the lights, run the blender, turn on
music, and do many of the things the rest of us are able to do.
