The Media Center at Lighthouse Education Center provides a welcoming common space that is available to all students on a weekly basis.

Students in Preschool through 8th grade are scheduled to attend Media Center a minimum of three times each week. The Media Center consists of both library and computer classes. Students are learning to effectively use technology to research, organize, create and evaluate information. They gain practice using applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Students will also gain an understanding of social and ethical issues around the Internet including security and cyber-bullying. All students are also provided the opportunity to check out library books and are encouraged to participate in reading incentive programs.

A variety of technology courses are available for high school students to help meet graduation requirements. Students develop computer skills that are important for academic, personal and job success.
