Our Classrooms
Classrooms within the ASD program are located throughout Berrien County. Twelve of our seventeen classrooms are housed in local district buildings. This allows students within the ASD program regular access to peers in the general education setting for the purposes of increased opportunities for social engagement, the practice of communication skills in a natural setting, peer support, and access to the general education curriculum. The five center-based classrooms allow for more structured instruction for students who require more intensive support.
Locations of classrooms may vary from year to year. Local districts have been extremely cooperative in allowing us to utilize classroom space within their buildings when it is available. Space availability in local districts is dependent on each district’s student enrollment.
