Scheduling Procedures and Forms for Videoconferencing
For Teachers
Talk to your building distance learning coordinator before you get too far. They may also have additional procedures for your building/district. Most of the time you will register directly with Berrien RESA .
For VC Coordinators
Simple Rules: If the program is either run by RESA or paid by RESA, then register with RESA. All other programs you can register directly with the provider. Read more for details.
One VC at a Time
One videoconference at a time connecting for your school. Your videoconference system can only be connect to one place at a time! So check the calendar before you schedule to make sure you're not scheduling on top of another videoconference.
Test Calls
For test calls or quick connections, you should double check your district VC calendar and make sure another VC isn't going on at the moment.
Connections & Calendar
Everything other than test calls should be recorded on the calendar as soon as you have it scheduled. This helps us make sure we don't schedule anything else at the same time.
Berrien RESA Schedules
Sign Up Through RESA if the program you want to participate in is:
- Run by RESA (MysteryQuest, some ASK programs, Lest We Forget, etc.)
- Paid for by RESA (Mini-Grants, TWICE ASK programs, special deals, etc.)
Then we will do the scheduling for the program and put it on the calendar. Use the Schedule Your Program link at the top right on the distance learning page.
You Schedule
Add to Calendar after registering or scheduling on your own if the program/event you want to participate in is:
- Free
- Paid for by your district
Then you can do the scheduling for the program and put it on the calendar. When it's scheduled, then click Add to Calendar on the front page of the RESA distance learning page.
