Administrative Technology
Berrien RESA's Administrative Technology staff provide a variety of services including the planning, developing, implementing, training and support of a Student Accounting System (Passport), a web enabled gradebook as well as wide area network links (fiber and T1) to districts within the county.
The primary responsibilities of the Administrative Technology team include troubleshooting and assisting the Administration Center, Blossomland Learning Center, and Lighthouse Education Center with their computer related technology. They also coordinate computer-related purchases for these buildings, installs the systems and software, performs service upgrades, and part replacements on computer equipment and printers. Network services are also provided through Administrative Technology.
Services for Local School Districts
The Administrative Technology staff members also provide services to other public school districts, private/parochial schools and public school academies in Berrien County.
The staff is responsible for writing the Student Accounting System and Special Ed Registry used by Berrien RESA, which includes many different programs and tasks. Student Accounting programs are used to produce reports containing student information, class schedules, class lists, report cards, and scheduling.
