Arts & Science EXPO April 16-20, 2009
The purpose of the Berrien County Arts & Science Expo is to encourage and support the creativity and initiative of
Berrien
County
students. Arts & Science Expo provides a public forum for students grades 4-12 to display their projects and compete for awards in the areas of visual arts, applied arts, communication arts, and science. Projects are displayed for nearly a week at the Orchards Mall,
Benton Harbor

, during which time local school performing groups also perform on the Mall stage. With more than 2,500 students participating in various capacities, the Berrien County Arts & Science Expo is one of the largest - if not the largest - student event in the area.
Career Exploration Days 8th grade career days is hosted at Lake Michigan College for the 8th graders of Berrien County. Students spend the day hearing from community professionals about different careers and career pathways to help them get an early start in creating their Education Development Plan. Edu-tainer Craig Tornquist also presents an entertaining show about talent, making smart choices and following your career dream.

Cloverleaf Spelling Bee Competition
February 10, 2009 The competition features Berrien and Van Buren county public and parochial school districts' top three middle school spellers in an individual spelling contest. Students will compete for numerous cash prizes with the top prize being admission to the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee held in Washington D.C. in the spring.
