Media Streaming - Digital Video On Demand
Discovery Education streaming (Unitedstreaming) is a digital media service from Discovery Education. Over 6,000 videos are available in addition to 40,000 video clips, photographs, maps and other resources for the classroom. DE streaming through REMC includes the AIMS Media Package. Discovery Education streaming Plus is availbe at additional cost and brings the total videos to 9,000.

Berrien RESA/REMC XI provides a local media server for those districts in the Berrien RESA WAN delivering DE streaming video content to improve performance and to save Internet bandwidth. Local schools should also put strategies in place to make the most efficient use of bandwidth.
Educators are encouraged to join the Discovery Educator Network to get the most out of their DE streaming experience and to become part of a supportive group of educators. Consider becoming a Discovery Education STAR Educator! Click on the link above in the Resource box.
The REMC Association of Michigan has negotiated a special annual fee for schools in Michigan. Schools are required to submit purchase orders to their local REMC. Each REMC submits a single purchase order to DE streaming to get the special price.

REMC XI members must submit purchase orders by August 31 to Berrien RESA/REMC XI. POs should be to Berrien RESA and school will be invoiced in the fall. Please include specific building names and identify the indivudual and Email of the district's contact person.
